Zu #42 und #45:

Da Pats Foto alte Schienenspuren auf der Nordspitze der Speicherinsel, also nördlich der Milchkannengasse, zeigt (die Schienen gibt es dort längst nicht mehr), dienten jene Schienen vormals dort nicht der Straßenbahn (Personenverkehr), sondern dem Güterverkehr zu und von den dort befindlichen Speichern.

Guten Tag,

After reading Der Barbara friedhof in Schidlitz thread I was thinking on which cementery can be found any traces of Danzig. Wolfgang has pictures of Friedhof Hochstrieß. @Wolfgang. I am not very knowledgable about history. I was unaware of such graves on cementary on ul. Slowackiego.

Finally I decided to visit Der Garnisonriedhof am Olivaer Tor (Cmentarz Garnizonowy). I found some traces and took pictures. Then, welcome to Gdansk 2015 on Picasa.

one photo of those to link "Gdansk 2015 on Picasa" is titled "Old Danziger Tramway Path". Please have a look to my comment #49: There were no tramways formerly but goods trains going to and from the storehouses at this place.

@Ulrich-31. I have wrongly assumed that it was a tramway track. I corrected the title.

The photo is the same. I changed title on Picasa. Perhaps it isn't enough.

When I was taking pictures on Hagelsberg I also took one of Kosciol Bozego Ciala. However the Sun was too low and the picture doesn't look as I wanted. Because you are interested I uploaded the photo now. Here is direct link: https://picasaweb.google.com/1039533...94919295689954

I replaced photo of "Tramway Path". Numbers of pictures changes because they are sorted by date taken in reverse. Do you think it would be better to sort photos by date taken with newest at the end?

Hi Pat,

Many thanks for correction. I would prefer to complete the new title this way: "Old Danziger Train Path on Granary Island".
Sorting your photos is just up to you.
