    The Cabbie

A devout Arab Muslim entered a black cab in London. He asked the cabbie to turn off the radio because as decreed by his religious teaching, he must not listen to music because in the time of the Prophet there was no music, especially Western music, which is the music of the Infidel.
The cab driver politely witched off the radio, stopped the cab and opened the door.
The Arab Muslim asked him, "What are you doing ?"
The cabbie answered, " In the time of the Prophet there were no taxis, so piss off and wait for a camel."

Thanks Peter ! We have a very wise saying : "Out of the mouth of children and the simple minded flows the truth." Should we include the London Cabbies ?

              Hi Feli
I agree with Peter, very great and awesome. I do love british humour as well.

Here is another joke with a cabbie:

A cab driver reaches the pearly gates. St. Peter looks him up in his Big Book and tells him to pick up a gold staff and a silk robe and proceed into Heaven. Next in line is a preacher. St. Peter looks him up in his Big Book, furrows his brow and says, "OK, we'll let you in, but take that cloth robe and wooden staff." The preacher is shocked and replies, "But I am a man of the cloth. You gave that cab driver a gold staff and a silk robe. Surely I rate higher than a cabbie!" St. Peter responds matter-of-factly, "This is Heaven and up here, we are interested in results. When you preached, people slept. When the cabbie drove his taxi, people prayed."

              Best wishes
              Rüdiger

My, my, my, am I glad I started the cabbie stories ! Since one year I don't drive my own car anymore and take taxies. St.Peter's cabbie must have been an Indian. In the last year I prayed more than in any other year of my life. (We have a lot of Indian cabbies) Thanks Ruediger, a string of laughter from Feli.....................(Don't know how to get a 'smiley' in here)

Lieber Rudi !

Gee, had quite forgotten that I was on the International part of the forum. I am sure Rudi 'understood', but for all the others a quick big D, that means a smile from Feli, who knows how to email, but that is about all, she can manage. Kind regards from Feli.
